Global crises, upheavals, and defining historical events shape society on such a vast scale that we often lose sight of the value of a human life as a unique experience.

The “Meanings of light” exhibition explores the way the idea of inner light in a human’s life could be carnalized. Every single person embraces the subject in a unique way. However, we are united by the understanding that even the smallest, seemingly insignificant event may bring us the vital light we’ve been longing for in our day-to-day life. What matters most is life itself — in all its simplicity and complexity — and the awareness of its inherent value. 

It is precisely this sensation of purity and radiance that the “Meanings of light” project seeks to convey. The art-pieces are not intended to depict specific scenes or events; rather, they aim to capture fleeting sensations. They urge the spectator to reflect on personal feelings and associations. In this way, the spectator becomes a kind of co-creator, infusing artworks with unique meanings, reliving the most cherished memories and thinking on what truly matters – the inner light. 

At the heart of the project lies a simple yet profound idea: every individual is precious and significant. Miniature golden figures in the display emphasize both the fragility and preciousness of each life — a value that must remain unwavering and unquestionable despite social turmoil and global challenges.
